The device uses the principle of mandibular advancement, meaning that it moves your jaw forward ever-so-slightly. This allows for better airflow while you breathe, thus reducing snoring and improving your sleep quality.
The first step is to customize the fit. Once you’ve found the perfect fit, simply wear the mouth guard before bed every night.
We’d recommend wearing the device for one or two hours before bed so that you can get used to the feeling. Thanks to the patented adjustable straps, you can still drink and talk while wearing the device, so you can continue with your bedtime routine as per normal. Don’t forget to brush your teeth prior to wearing the device.
It may take several days to get used to wearing it. It’s okay if you’re initially only able to wear it for a few hours each night — with some persistence, you’ll gradually get used to it, especially once you notice how easy it is to breathe with the device.
Our patented adjustable straps can be chosen according to your jaw’s anatomy. The straps are numbered 1 to 5, with a higher number indicating a tighter fit.
Start with the following straps:
● If you have an overbite, use strap number 1 or 2
● If you have an underbite, use strap number 5
● If you have a common bite, start with strap number 3 or 4
From there, you can adjust the straps as follows:
● If snoring persists, choose a strap of superior value such as increasing from strap number 4 to 5
● If the pressure exerted on the jaw is too strong and causes discomfort, opt for a less potent strap such as strap number 3
● Each tension strap should be worn at least three to five nights prior to further increases
You can brush the mouth guard with a toothbrush. Shake off excess water and allow the device to dry after cleaning. Keep it in its storage case when not in use. Don’t use harsh chemicals or household cleaners like bleach, ammonia, or mouthwash containing alcohol.
